This is a thoroughly enjoyable and hilarious story about a bunch of men who get together to talk about how they’re feeling. It starts kind of like a party where you’re stuck in a group whose conversation keeps snapping back to the same frustrating/boring topic, no matter how far away it seems to drift. But the gathering eventually morphs into something more chaotic. Michaels’ delightful descriptions of non-verbal communication and insanely relatable observations make eavesdropping on a tedious conversation surprisingly entertaining! I won’t say more because I don’t want to spoil it. Except that this one quote captures how I feel half the time I open my mouth.
This often happens to me. I start to talk, thinking there is a point, and then it never arrives.
It’s short. Go read it.
